DSquared2 premiered their SS 2012 collection at this year's Milan Fashion Week. I must say the idea for this collection is so wicked and was so well executed, I absolutely love it. Taking a note from summer music festivals like Glastonbury and Reading and Leeds, DSquared2 went rocker fan chic with layers of fringe, denim, and wellies complete with mud. The collection really focused on layering whether it was a beaded vest, plaid shirt tied around the waist, scarves as belts, or furs. It was all in the details. DSquared2 included neon concert wristbands and models carrying beer to complete the music festival image.
Part of the reason I love this collection so much is the sheer effort it took to convey such a clear image. Even the background was an oversized image of a crowd.
